My primary interests are in how educational institutions, particularly museums, help form narratives of knowledge that are extended further into our lives. This type of knowledge formation and understanding creates certain identities that we attach onto ourselves in order to create greater forms of identity such as a national identity. Museums also help form identities for those who are the original creators and owners of the objects they house that are then spread to an audience of viewers. I am interested in this process of identity formation, both creating identities for ourselves and others, and knowledge creation.
